Requirements for ferrous metal scrap
Ferrous metal scrap must not contain:
Scrap metal obtained from chemical plants must be cleaned of any chemical substances.
Closed containers must be opened, cut and cleaned to ensure they contain no other substances.
- non-metallic objects (soil, sand, rubber, concrete, bricks, wood, ceramics, glass, etc.);
- munitions;
- closed containers without holes;
- closed containers under pressure; assemblies containing oil and other substances;
- scrap covered with concrete and cement;
- containers with adhesive, oil, paint, etc.
